Drawing is what connects one work to the other. It is what I use to move between mediums to create multidisciplinary installations.
It is always my first mark.
Starting my career as a painter, then sculptor, then videographer and installation artist, drawing has sometimes been integral to my art, but always part of the process. Now adding monologue/performance to my work, I still include drawing, sculpting, and videography to complete my statement.
My biomorphic forms have evolved in time and space as has my love for working with disparate materials…always trying to find the edge between grotesque/raw/beauty, life/death, male/female and the ephemeral/material.
